Bubbly
A tiny floating Mac companion that stays small, expressive, and useful without turning into another full-screen app.

What it is
Bubbly is a small desktop presence for the Mac. It floats while you work, reacts to clicks, changes modes, and opens into a lightweight chat assistant when needed.
Why it exists
Most assistant interfaces are large, serious, and tab-shaped. Bubbly explores whether an assistant can feel lighter: present, optional, personal, and a little alive.
What was built
- Floating desktop interaction model.
- Mode system for carefree, chatty, playtime, and max personality states.
- Themes, moods, right-click controls, sounds, characters, and desktop effects.
- Compact chat experience designed around quick questions.
Product thinking
The product direction is strongest when Bubbly stays disciplined. It should feel delightful, but not demanding. The line between companion and distraction is the main design constraint.
What could improve next
Sharper onboarding, clearer privacy copy, and a few carefully chosen utility actions would make the product more than charming: it would become habit-forming.
